COVID-19 outbreak related extraordinary aid is given to cultural managers of Ida-Viru County whose activities between December 12, 2020 and January 31, 2021 and cultural managers of Harju County whose activities between December 28, 2020 to January 31, 2021 have been fully suspended or significantly limited by the restrictions set by the Government of the Republic. The aim of the round of applications is to soften the effects of COVID-19 crisis and the set restrictions to the cultural sector. The total size of the measure is €3.2 million.

The basis for the round of applications is the regulation on COVID-19 outbreak related extraordinary aid to the cultural managers of Ida-Viru and Harju Counties and the explanatory memorandum (PDF).

Grants directed to the field of sport for the period of December 28 to 17 January to Harju County and Ida-Viru County are planned only through the Unemployment Insurance Fund. The grants provided through the Ministry of Culture are intended for the period December 12,2020 to December 27, 2020 Harju County and Ida-Viru County and from December 12 to January 10 for the rest of Estonia. Calls for applications will be open within the month of January. Applications are processed in various fields by the Ministry of Culture, Estonian National Culture Centre, Integration Foundation or Sports Training and Information Fund.
